Background

Alison previously worked for many years for Marks and Spencer in HR Management in both store based and Area positions including Head of HR and latterly as Head of Training for 75 stores with a turnover of over £1.8 billion, specialising in leadership, management and personal development. She is experienced in leadership skills development and coaching at management and executive levels.

Alison decided to leave corporate life in 2003 and since then has run her own business, Touchline Consulting, providing coaching and development services. Alison’s aim is to help organisations and individuals achieve improved results through high quality people development .

Brief Description:

In her business, Touchline Consulting, Alison coaches a number of private clients; both individuals and teams, mostly in Somerset where she is based. She is also currently working as "coach supervisor" for a handful of practising coaches.

In addition to coaching, Alison also designs and delivers bespoke development workshops usually around the field of leadership, management, coaching/mentoring and personal effectiveness.

Alison’s private clients include: Holiday Inn, The National Trust, Bayer Healthcare, British Horse Society as well as smaller businesses based in the South West.

  • Associate with The OCM

Alison works as a coach/tutor for the The OCM and the CIPD on their public qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring (from Foundation EMCC level 4 through to Masters Level). She is also an  assessor for all these qualifications and chairs the South West Local Support Group which provides supervision and CPD for coaches in the South West.

Coaching / Mentoring Achievements:

Alison is a professional coach, initially qualifying with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in 2004 and later upgrading her qualification to Practitioner level (EMCC level 7) in 2008 with The OCM via the new APEL route.

Qualified to administer Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator (Step 1 and Step 2)
