Background and Experience:
My name is Cathy Dean and I am the Managing Director of Colourful Coaching.
I have 25 years' Public Sector experience, including roles in Change Management, Cultural Change, Management and Leadership Development and Coaching.
I am a CIPD qualified trainer and a member of the International Coach Federation, by whose code of ethics I abide. I have been awarded a Certificate in Coaching Skills from Coaching Development as a foundation for the ICF Coaching Diploma and am qualified to administer a range of psychometric tools including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI).
Brief Description:
I believe that everyone has far more potential than they realise, but that too many of us get little or no encouragement to explore that potential.
I believe that today's young people, especially those that have been identified as "high-potential", have more opportunities, and higher expectations of them, than at any time in history, and that not enough is done to support them.
I believe that too many people today suffer stress as a result of feeling that they have to leave their "real" self behind when they enter the workplace, hiding their true colours, and as a result are unable to devlop their own potential.
I believe that, when we operate in a way that is authentic and in line with our own personal values, when we reveal to the world our true colours and become proud of who we are and what we offer, only then can we achieve our potential and make a real difference to those around us.
My mission is to offer support and encouragement to people who want to realise their potential and be truly themselves at all times.
