Description:

Welcome to Middlesex University Mentoring Network (MUMN).

We look forward to keeping you up to date with further events and mentoring opportunities with MUMN. There are a number of exciting things in the pipeline.

Come and Join us for the

Launch of the Public Sector Mentoring Scheme

on the 27th September 2011

9.30am – 4.30pm

Hosted by The International Centre for the Study of Coaching (ICSC) and Middlesex University

The Public Sector Mentoring Project will combine the best mentor training for public sector graduate scheme entrants with a public sector-style assessment centre to provide enhanced employability for undergraduate mentees aspiring to civil service entry by drawing on the expertise of the FDA, Middlesex University and internationally-renowned leaders in mentoring.

Benefits will include:

  • This forum will bring together members of the International Centre for the Study of Coaching, the FDA and University mentoring project team and project participants.
  • ICSC members will benefit from the first insights into a unique mentoring scheme between public and educational sectors which may enhance their own professional practice.
  •  All attendees will gain a heightened understanding of the programme’s purpose, objectives, intended outcomes, benefits, roles and responsibilities.
  • All attendees will explore mentoring programme drivers and barriers, ethics and Code of Conduct.

Background to the ICSC.  This Centre is a community of practice of academics and practitioners from around the world interested in the study and research of coaching The aim is to enable practitioners, students, academics and organisations to come together to share best practice and the results of the latest studies so that further research and development projects can be initiated and supported. We hold a particular welcome to practitioner researchers who wish to develop good practice in research and contribute to the growing body of knowledge in a robust and rigorous manner.

An agenda for the day can be found attached. Please note this is a free event but you are required to book a place.

If you would like to attend this event please contact Samantha Owen by emailing S.Owen@mdx.ac.uk
