EIA is EMCC's gold standard accreditation for practising coaches and mentors and sets the benchmark across Europe for quality and professionalism.
 
More than just a qualification, EIA confirms that you have the knowledge and experience to match the EMCC evidence-based Competence Framework and that you apply this to your practice, working consistently to the highest professional standards. It is not only the mark of quality that buyers of coaching and mentoring will increasingly look for but also a tremendous investment in your personal and professional development.
 

By the end of this evening session you will be able to: 

• Find your way around EIA paperwork
• Link your own evidence and case studies to the Competence Framework
• Name the different types of professional activity for which you must collect evidence
• Match the "quantity" requirements (number of hours etc) to the different levels of application possible
• Make reflective notes about this event as an example of how to use the CPD record-keeping template
• Connect with other coaches interested in accreditation. 

EIA supports the EMCC's aim of raising standards in coaching and mentoring by being the only accreditation that: 

• Is based upon a researched and clearly defined Competence Framework relevant to a wide range of coaching and mentoring activity
• Requires evidence of sophisticated reflection applied to working practice
• Distinguishes between four levels of coach/mentor competence and practice
• Uses a reliable and rigorous assessment process, with trained assessors, providing quality assurance indicators for purchasers and users of accredited coaches/mentors. 

EIA has been designed to be inclusive, welcoming a wide range of coaches and mentors, recognising that competence can be developed in many ways, through formal study for an EMCC EQA qualification or developed through other routes. 

About the speaker  Claire Hack's commitment to professional standards in coaching and mentoring are seen in her work with the EMCC. As UK EIA Manager, she has guided the development and introduction of EIA and remains an active member of the EMCC Standards Committee. As well as being one of the first EMCC Accredited Coaches, she is also a trained EQA & EIA assessor as well as an EQA & EIA assessor trainer. Claire also practices as a coach supervisor.
