Dorothy Spry's master-class using real-life case studies conducted into coaching and emotional intelligence will guide you through the specific emotional intelligence (EI) - capabilities, competencies and skills that can derail or inhibit an individual from performing at their best in the workplace.
The coach, by tapping into a client's EI and identifying the blockers to goal achievement is able to gauge whether their client is emotionally prepared to engage in the coaching process.
Whether from the client or coach's perspective, EI development can positively contribute to the overall well being of the individual. To get an understanding of your own EI the master-class will include a self-awareness activity.
This event is suitable for:
1. HR practitioners and those responsible for managing and developing performance within organisations
2. Individual Coaches from all disciplines, operating privately and within organisations, whether members or non-members of the Association for Coaching
3. Coaching service and training providers
4. Academics working in a performance development and coaching related field
5. Business owners and leaders interested in leadership performance development and coaching
By the end of this session, you will be able to understand:
• What is Emotional Intelligence (EI)?
• Mounting evidence building the business case for EI
• EI and its importance in Coaching
• The EI capabilities, competencies and skills that are the most common blockers in moving a client forward
• Exercise to Assess your own EI
